How does the process work?

If you have a damaged component that is no longer available, such as an automotive part, we can handle the reproduction. Send us the component by mail, even if it is badly damaged or missing parts. We will create a 3D model from the remaining parts, which is necessary for reproduction.

In the next step, we analyze the original material and offer you either the original material or a suitable alternative. First, we produce a prototype from a more cost-effective material to check the dimensional accuracy. Once everything is satisfactory, we manufacture the component in the original material and send it to you.

If you require a cost estimate for your insurance company, we can also provide one. Please note that such orders are custom-made, which can result in higher costs compared to standard, mass-produced components.

Which objects can be reconstructed?

Car parts

We frequently receive requests to reproduce damaged vehicle parts, whether for caravans, cars, or motorcycles. Especially in accident cases, when the affected component is no longer available on the market, many rely on our expertise. We even reconstruct severely damaged, shattered, or broken parts for which no replacement parts exist.

Reconstruction of bones

Ancient bones or skeletal remains, whether from humans or animals, are often found incomplete. Using 3D scanners, we capture the missing or damaged areas and digitally reconstruct them. We then create plaster casts of these parts to reproduce them faithfully.

Trade fair or demonstration models

We can also recreate unique trade fair or exhibition models where the original manufacturer is no longer known. We digitize the existing model using state-of-the-art technology and produce an exact replica that matches the original in detail and form.

Building structures made of sandstone

For damaged building structures, such as sandstone figures, we can capture the missing parts using 3D scans. We use this data to print the missing element in sand and restore the original in such a way that as little of the original material as possible is affected.

Archaeological finds

We first digitize old archaeological artifacts that have become damaged or incomplete over time. Using this data, we reconstruct the missing parts and try to restore the original form as accurately as possible to create an authentic representation of the past.

Defective machine parts

Customers often require replacement parts for machine components from manufacturers who no longer exist. In such cases, we digitally document the damaged part. We then manufacture the component to restore the machine to operation and resume production.

Impressions or negative forms

We can digitally capture old imprints left in stone, earth, or other materials using our 3D scanner. These digital models allow us to create both an accurate negative and, if needed, a reproduction of the original object.

What materials do you work with?

We can process a wide variety of materials, including various plastics, metals, ceramics, sand, and even glass. If the material you require is not listed, we can draw on an extensive network of suppliers. This allows us to source specialized materials directly from manufacturers to best meet your needs. We are also happy to advise you on selecting the right material for your application.

Can you create just one 3D file?

Of course, it is possible for us to create a 3D file, which can then either be manufactured by your manufacturer or produced by you yourself.

How much does an insurance estimate cost?

If an insurance company requires a cost estimate, we charge a fee of 10% of the insured sum or a minimum of €50. If you place an order with us, this fee will be credited towards the costs of designing and manufacturing the component.

How long does it take to reproduce a component?

Remanufacturing a component can take anywhere from one week to several months. The duration depends largely on the complexity and condition of the component. First, creating a 3D drawing is necessary, which is usually the most time-consuming step. The size of the component also influences the manufacturing time. The larger and more complex the component, the longer the production takes. Each component is custom-made, not mass-produced.

Can I deliver the part in person?

Yes, you have the option of coming in person and bringing the relevant component with you. This will allow you to explain your questions or concerns in detail during a direct conversation.

How accurate are the 3D models compared to the original?

If, for example, gaps or missing components are present, we are obliged to use our artistic license to restore the original condition as closely as possible. However, we cannot guarantee that it will look exactly like it did before. Ideally, the original component should be provided in the best possible condition, as this significantly simplifies and improves the process of restoring it to its original state.

Can I have the component manufactured in a different material or with a different surface finish?

Yes, that's possible! We can adapt the component to your specific requirements and design it in different materials or with different surfaces.

What happens if the prototype doesn't fit?

It can happen that the first prototype doesn't fit perfectly due to significant damage to the original. In this case, however, we ensure that the necessary adjustments are made to the 3D drawing. We will optimize the prototype until the result meets your requirements at no additional cost, provided the design error is our fault.

Do you also offer a repair service?

In certain cases, particularly when the damage is minor, such as with small cracks or breaks, the component can be repaired. One option is to use a plastic part to fix the crack and restore the connection. This way, the component can retain its original appearance without requiring a complete remanufacturing.
